At TrustedMovePro, we want every move to go smoothly. If something goes wrong, our Independent Dispute Resolution System (IDRS) provides a fair, simple, and transparent way to resolve issues between you and your mover.
Before You Begin
- You may only file a dispute if:
- Your mover is an active TrustedMovePro listed in our directory.
- Your move began within the last 180 days.

- If your mover is not listed as an active TrustedMovePro, or if your move occurred more than 180 days ago, you cannot use the IDRS.
- If your move was not with an active TrustedMovePro, please refer to the Compliance & Licensing page for your state for guidance on filing complaints with the proper regulatory authority.
How the Process Works
1. Select Your Mover
- Begin by searching our directory to confirm that your mover is an active TrustedMovePro.
- If eligible, you may proceed to file your dispute.
2. Submit Your Dispute
- Complete the dispute form with your mover’s name, a description of the issue, and upload any documents or photos.
- Once you click Submit, your case is created and your mover is notified immediately.
- You will receive a case number and a secure link by email to track your case, upload additional documents, and view all responses.
- Keep your secure link safe — it is your private access to the case.
3. Mover Responds (within 7 days)
- Your mover must respond within 7 calendar days of receiving the case notification.
- If they do not respond, the case will be reviewed by our Admin Team.
4. Resolution Window (up to 30 days)
- Starting from the day you submit your case (when your mover is notified), a 30-day resolution period begins.
- During this period, you and your mover may exchange information, documents, and messages through the portal in an attempt to resolve the matter directly.
5. Escalation to Arbitration
- If no resolution is reached after 30 days, you may request independent arbitration.
- A neutral arbitrator will review the case and issue a binding decision.
- The cost of the arbitration service will be borne by the TrustedMovePro.
6. Enforcement
- Movers are required to comply with arbitration outcomes.
- Any mover who fails to comply may be removed from TrustedMovePro.com.
What You’ll Need to File
- Your mover’s name (must be an active TrustedMovePro)
- A clear description of the problem
- Copies of your moving agreement, receipts, or other correspondence
- Photos or other evidence to support your claim
Important Notes
- There is no cost to file a dispute.
- TrustedMovePro is not a party to the dispute — we provide the platform and independent arbitration process.
- Arbitration decisions are final and binding.
